Session Description

The WTA is sweeping new legislation that will go into effect on January 1 2020 upon approval by Governor JB Pritzker.  The legislation would prohibit nondisclosure and anti-disparagement language in employment agreements, limit the use of arbitration for employment disputes, expand all discrimination and harassment definitions to include “regarded as” claims, require employers to report annually on all settlements and judgment to IDHR, and to implement annual sexual harassment training.
